Baby Swags can also be used for babies first birthdays, baby shower gifts, and gifts just for the new mom! All you need to do is tell us what the event is, and it is our job to find the right WAHM product for your baby swag basket!

What is the Procedure?

We have been asked many times, "What do I need to do to get started?". Well, it is very simple really. All you will need to do is email us. Tell us a little bit about yourself, your business and your products.

1. Before participation in any of our baskets, you must complete our Client Profile Form and submit your product for review. This will give us a better understanding of who you are, what your company is all about, how your product is crafted and if it matches our criteria in all areas. We will review the information provided and if your business ties in with the services we provide, we will notify you via email with either an acceptance or a decline of your product.

If your products meet our high level of expectation, you may begin selecting baskets to participate in. We will then provide you with our contract and client log in information. We do not return reviewed sample products. All reviewed sample products will be used for silent auctions and/or charity giveaways.

We reserve the right to decline products for participation based on poor quality. Sexual or explicit products are not accepted.

2. Once your company has been accepted, your email address will be added to our mailing list. We email information weekly, or as new baskets and opportunities present themselves to us.

3. When you receive an email announcing the start of a new celebrity basket, if you wish to participate in that basket, you will need to send us a quick email to reserve your spot. You will then receive two documents that we need filled out and sent back to us. You will receive the individual celebrity agreement and the product submission form. There is no additional charge or membership fees. You may either fax or snail mail the signed agreement, but please note that your products will not be included unless we have a current agreement on file for your business. All the “send to” information is listed on the agreement itself.

4. When sending in products, please keep them within a 24" cube. Anything larger than that may be subject to additional charges as it will require more packaging materials, shipping fees, and insurance. If you have a large product selection, you may only submit up to 3 products. We cannot accept anything more unless the basket that is being worked on is a special limited opportunity.

5. Please also include all your marketing materials (example: business cards, brochures, fliers, etc…) and the inclusion fee.

5A. The reason for the marketing materials is because Baby Swags will not only send out your product to the celebrity, but we will also put together a folder of client materials. It includes a copy of the press release, letter of introduction, and a table of contents showing all clients participating. It gives the celebrity more of an idea of what your business is all about and who you are.

5B. A Self Addressed Stamped 9" x 11.5" Manila Envelope is also requested. You may feel free to write a personal letter welcoming their newest addition to your chosen celebrity, which is more of a personal approach and appreciated. The SASE is providing the celebrity or their “people” an easier and more efficient way to contact you directly.

6. Once all products, materials and payments have been received, Baby Swags will generate the press release announcing your company’s participation in the gift basket. You may feel free to supply a quote as to why you are participating, or perhaps a little blurb about your products and how the celebrity will benefit from using them.

7. Photos of the basket will be taken. Please note that your product packaging may be temporarily removed for the sole purpose of the photo. All products are placed back to their original state prior to being shipped. The only time we will leave packaging in tact is if it is 'factory' sealed. We leave all hang tags on the products. The only purpose for removing the packaging is so that your potential customers can see exactly what they are getting. People don't want to see a brown box, they want to see what is inside that brown box.

8. You will need to check back periodically to see if your basket has been completed. If so, you are able to save the photo onto your computer and use them for your advertising or press pages as long as they remain in tact. If you would like to use the photos for any purpose other than web use, you will need to obtain written authorization from Baby Swags.

9. You will need to provide Baby Swags with a 125x125 button for the celebrity basket page along with a tagline you would like to see with the basket photo.

10. Baskets are shipped and we then must wait to catch the buzz!

11. You must also have a link to Baby Swags on your website. We have different sizes of banners or buttons if you would rather use them than a text link. You can find that information in the members only area. We will do random checks on your website. If our link is not placed on your website, you will no be able to participate again until the link is added.

TIPS
***Some additional tips would be to forward a copy of the press release with a letter from your company to any and all local media outlets.
Don’t just send products for the new baby. If the celebrity has other children, it is a nice gesture to send something for the older children as well.
To add extra buzz, create your own personal press release announcing your participating with Baby Swags. The more press you can create, the more exposure you will have.
